Nearby Things That We Recommend

We think that you might enjoy experiencing the Midcoast area the same way that we do. Here's a list of some of our favorite things to do. Please check back often as we are constantly updating our list of fun things to do locally.

Lobster Lane Bookshop
Sprucehead - The most books in the smallest space. You can find many hidden treasures here at very low prices. It's located within a half an hour walk from the campsite. A superb walk and a good chance to see lots of beautiful scenery. It is a personal favorite of Anna's and usually she will be more than likely to guide you there.
Walking the Breakwater
Rockland - It's a local tradition. A mile long walk out across the breakwater. You get a great view of Rockland from the sea plus the chance to see a wonderful lighthouse.
Farmer's Market
Rockland Public Landing - Thursday, 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
The Farmer's Market is a wonderful place to find all sorts of fresh Maine produce. It's a neat experience and a good chance to see what Midcoast Maine is all about.
