- The Speed Limit
- is five miles per hour for all vehicles including bicycles within the campground. Motorcycles and mopeds may be used in the campground for transportation to and from your site only. No ATV's allowed. Bicycles must be walked down the hills. Please remember that you are sharing the road with children and pedestrians.
- Campfires
- must be kept small and in your personal fire ring. Never leave your campfire unattended. Please keep sufficient water near your fire in case of emergency. Please burn your fires completely or clean your fire ring at the conclusion of your stay. Do not bring in firewood that has nails, paint or that contains other unnatural substances. Please do not move the fire rings from their original positions without permission from the office.
- Dogs
- are allowed at Lobster Buoy, however we reserve the right to limit them to one dog per site. Your dog must be kept on a leash at all times or be in your unit. Your dog must never be left unattended. A barking dog is not welcomed by other campers. You will be asked to remove them from the campground if there are complaints. Dogs are allowed on the beach, but we request that they be on a leash. We also request that you always carry appropriate scooping equipment. You must completely clean up after your dog whether on your campsite, in the campground, on the town roads or on the beach. Every year fewer campgrounds are allowing dogs. Please do your part and help us continue to welcome your family pet.
- Children
- must be supervised at all times. Never allow your young children near the water or on the town roads unless they are supervised. We do not have a lifeguard for the beach. Use of the beach does constitute leaving the campground and is at your own risk. Your children must be on your site during quiet hours. Please do not let your children play on other people's sites.
- No Refunds
- of deposits. No refunds for early departures.
- No Dumping on Arrival
- Your rent includes one dump every third day. Larger RV's and trailers staying less than three days must pay to use our dumpstation. "Blue Wagons" may be used at Lobster Buoy only with the utmost care. Absolutely no gray or black water may spill on the ground. This is a Maine State law. We reserve the right to inspect your blue wagons, gray water buckets and hoses. If they are found leaking they must be corrected at once or you will be asked to leave, without refund.
- Water
- is precious. Please use only what you need. Please do not let your children play at the water spigots. You may not use our water to wash your vehicles, campers, boats or trailers.
- Garbage
- disposal is situated for your convenience. Please bag all garbage securely to prevent animals from getting into it. Please bag all animal waste before disposing of it. Whenever possible, burn your paper and cardboard in the fire rings. Why waste trees? Please crush your plastic containers and heavy cardboard to save space. If you are planning a cookout and need a garbage can for your site, please ask at the office.
- Returnables
- should be taken with you or left in the containers near the garbage disposal. Maine offers recycling facilities for glass and plastic bottles and also for tin cans.
- Illegal Substances
- in any form are not allowed in our campground. Use of alcohol, cigarettes or any other controlled substance is strictly controlled by the laws of the State of Maine. Please restrict legal use of alcohol and cigarettes to your campsite. Please do not leave your cigarette butts on the grounds.
- Quiet Hours
- are from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m.. At no time are radios or any other kinds of sound equipment allowed if they can be heard in neighboring sites. If you bring your music, please bring your earphones.
- Visitors
- must register and pay a visitor fee before entering the campground. Only four visitors per site are allowed unless previously arranged. Visitors are required to have a pass on their vehicles. Pre-payment can be arranged for your visitors; please check with the office.
- Vehicles
- may be parked on your campsite. However we reserve the right to limit only one vehicle per site. All extra vehicles and trailers must be parked in our parking area. Please limit the equipment on your campsite to camping gear - no machinery or outside refrigerators.
- Trespassing
- is prohibited at Lobster Buoy. The properties and islands adjoining the campground are private. Please respect this. Please respect your neighbors at Lobster Buoy and refrain from walking through their campsites. Please do not park in unoccupied campsites. Do not leave boats on the sandy beach area without previous agreement.
Anyone who disturbs other campers or is destructive to the premises will be asked to leave at once, without refund. Please respect our property and keep the spirit of Lobster Buoy alive.
Guests in our rental units and seasonal campers must comply with all the campground rules.
